home alone.

Not as adventurous, entertaining or dangerous as the movie but my home-alone (with two kitties) this week has been good so far. Spending time by myself is not so bad after all.  It allows me to do things, think about things, catch up with friends and take in time just for myself.

My goal for the rest of my time alone is finishing the book I'm currently reading (and disliking) - which is Eat Pray Love.  I know so many people loved the book but I'm having a real hard time reading through the India part.  Hopefully, the Indonesia part will be better.

p.s. brunch on Tuesday in Redondo Beach - i know i've been indulging myself, eating brunch on a weekday afternoon when everyone is probably working. haha

fun fun fun fun.

I have signed up for an online minibook(scrapbook) workshop and I'm so excited for it.
This is purely for my pleasure, nothing more than to have fun (and possibly start a fun hobby haha).  Looking forward to having joy and fun out of this experience. :)

i feel old

:  when I find myself drooling over food processors and dutch ovens at Williams Sonoma.
:  when I secretly want an Le Creuset dutch oven or a gift card to Crate and Barrel
or Williams Sonoma for my birthday gift.

Are these signs of early stage of being an ajumma?

the best mac and cheese ever.

Although I'm not really a cheese lover, I am a huge mac and cheese fan. I'm also very picky about my mac and cheese - it cannot have too much cheese (for an obvious reason) and the macaroni has to be al dente. I've tried dozens of mac and cheese in LA and finally found my FAVORITE at the Kitchen in Silverlake. This place has become my favorite brunch place since the first visit. Their pear pancakes is to die for(seriously, it melts in your mouth) and the eggs benedict with red wine sauce is very yummy too. I think I will have a hard time deciding between pear pancakes and mac and cheese on my next visit to the Kitchen. hehehe
